ASPCA Charm School www.aspca.org
Charm school graduates come in all shapes and sizes. But all share one trait in common: Impeccable manners that would make any family proud. At the ASPCA, a new Charm School training Program means a whole new lease on life for dozens of dogs, many seized form abusive or neglectful owners. Knowing just a few simple commands, like "sit", "stay" and "come", may be all it takes for even the most homely pooch to find a loving home with anew pet parent. It's one more way the ASPCA is working to find homes for all adoption-worthy animals.

HAIR BALL! www.fourmVet.com
A 16-year-old cat name IKi presented to a clinic with typical "old cat syndrome" losing weight, not grooming, refusing to eat and vomiting. Radiography confirmed a large mass in the stomach. After conducting blood work initiating fluid therapy, and administering anesthesia, a 0.9-lb hairball was removed. Iki not only survived the surgery but was eating within 2 days. At her 2-week post surgery follow-up, he was gaining weight and grooming once again.

Pregnancy-Ending Pellet www.fourmVet.com
A pregnant cat presented to our clinic after being shot by apellet gun. The pellet had passed through the abdomen and ended up in her hip. While passing through the abdomen, the pellet penetrated the muscle wall, causing the unborn kittens to protrude through the abdominal wall. The cat was spayed, and the pellet was removed. She recovered completely.

An Enlighten Experience www.fourmVet.com
A 13-year-old male Doberman pinscher presented to our clinic with a history of vomiting. Radiographs taken to "shed some light" on the subject revealed that the dog had ingested a light bulb. Because of the potential for heavy metal intoxication, the dog was immediately taken to surgery. The completely intact light bulb was removed and later tested. It worked perfectly.

A Heavenly Appetite www.fourmVet.com
A 12 week old golden retriever puppy was brought into a clinic after swallowing the owner's necklace, which was recovered in mint condition.
